COACH 


This handbook provides guidance for coaches of Wilton Soccer Club and aligns with Canada Soccer and Saskatchewan Soccer Association standards.

1. Coaching Philosophy


Wilton Soccer Club emphasizes player development, enjoyment, respect, and safety above competition.

2. Coach Responsibilities


  • Maintain a safe training environment
    • Follow Safe Sport principles
    • Respect officials, players, and parents
    • Promote fair play and inclusion

3. Safe Sport Expectations


Coaches must comply with UCCMS, complete required training, and immediately report any concerns involving athlete safety.

4. Discipline


Failure to comply with Club policies may result in suspension or removal.

 

VOLUNTEER 


Thank you for volunteering with Wilton Soccer Club. Volunteers are essential to the success of our programs and community.

This handbook aligns with Canada Soccer, Saskatchewan Soccer Association, and Wilton Soccer Club policies.

1. Role of Volunteers


Volunteers may serve in roles including team support, event assistance, administration, and board service.
All volunteers are expected to act respectfully, responsibly, and in the best interests of participants.

2. Safe Sport & Child Protection


Volunteers must:
• Comply with the Club’s Safe Sport & Child Protection Policy
• Maintain appropriate boundaries with minors
• Report any suspected maltreatment immediately
• Complete required screening and training

3. Code of Conduct


Volunteers shall:
• Treat all participants with dignity and respect
• Refrain from abusive or discriminatory behavior
• Follow direction from Club leadership
• Represent the Club positively at all times

4. Discipline


Failure to comply with Club policies may result in suspension or removal from volunteer duties.

 

PARENT 

This handbook outlines expectations, communication, and policies for parents and guardians.

1. Club Philosophy

Any concerns involving child safety must be reported immediately.

4. Communication


Primary communication will be through email and team messaging platforms.

5. Sideline Behaviour


Parents are expected to model respectful behaviour at all times.
